The information provided through this website and by Inner Healing Hypnosis Clinic Inc. (the “Clinic”) is intended for general informational, educational, and wellness purposes only.
By accessing or using this website, contacting the Clinic, booking a consultation, attending a session, purchasing or receiving a Hypnosis Gift Voucher, using a hypnosis recording, or participating in a service, you acknowledge this Disclaimer and the other applicable Clinic policies.
1. Nature of Hypnosis Services
The Clinic provides complementary hypnosis-based wellness services intended to support relaxation, stress management, emotional balance, confidence, self-development, personal growth, motivation, habit change, and general wellness.
Hypnosis is a collaborative process. Participants ordinarily remain aware, retain personal choice, and may accept or reject suggestions. Individual experiences vary, and hypnosis is not appropriate for every person or circumstance.
Services may be offered in person in Guelph, Ontario, or online, depending on availability, location, suitability, and the nature of the requested service.
2. Not Medical, Psychological, Psychotherapeutic or Psychiatric Care
Unless expressly stated otherwise and delivered by a properly qualified and regulated professional, the Clinic’s services are complementary wellness services. They are not substitutes for medical care, psychological assessment or counselling, regulated psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, diagnosis, medication, crisis intervention, emergency care, legal advice, financial advice, or another regulated professional service.
The Clinic does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical, psychological, psychiatric, or mental health conditions. Clients should consult an appropriately qualified regulated professional regarding medical or mental health concerns.
3. Scope of Practice
The Clinic does not provide regulated psychotherapy unless expressly stated and delivered by a professional legally authorized to provide it in Ontario.
When a person’s needs appear to fall outside the Clinic’s scope, the Clinic may decline, postpone, pause, or discontinue a service; recommend consultation with an appropriate regulated professional; or require relevant professional clearance where appropriate.
Possession of a Hypnosis Gift Voucher does not expand the Clinic’s scope of practice or require the Clinic to provide a service that is inappropriate, unsafe, or outside its scope.
4. Consultation, Intake and Informed Consent
Before receiving a hypnosis service, a client or voucher recipient may be required to complete a consultation, intake form, suitability assessment, informed-consent documentation, and other reasonable Clinic requirements.
Participation must be voluntary. Except where legally authorized, one adult cannot provide informed consent on behalf of another adult.
5. No Guarantee of Results
The Clinic does not guarantee any particular result, improvement, symptom reduction, behavioural or emotional change, habit change, personal transformation, duration of benefit, or number of sessions required.
Testimonials, reviews, client stories, service descriptions, voucher names, advertisements, and promotional materials describe individual experiences or general intentions only and do not guarantee similar results.
The names “A Moment to Breathe,” “A Meaningful Moment,” “The Gift of Transformation,” and “A Gift Made for You” are presentation names only and do not promise any specific experience or outcome.
6. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, disclosing relevant circumstances that may affect participation, asking questions when information is unclear, following reasonable safety instructions, and seeking appropriate regulated or emergency care when required.
Clients must not delay, avoid, discontinue, or change medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional care because of website information, a consultation, hypnosis services, recordings, or Clinic materials.
7. Emergency and Crisis Situations
The Clinic does not provide emergency services or crisis intervention. The website, email, contact forms, booking system, Gift Voucher process, consultations, sessions, and recordings must not be used to obtain emergency assistance.
In a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or immediate safety situation, call 911 or attend the nearest emergency department.
8. Online Sessions
Clients participating online are responsible for a stable internet connection, a private and reasonably quiet location, a safe and comfortable place to sit or lie down, suitable technology, and an environment where they can participate without interruption.
Clients must not participate in hypnosis while driving, operating machinery, cooking, supervising a child or dependent who requires active attention, or performing any activity requiring alertness or concentration.
The Clinic is not responsible for technical interruptions, poor internet connection, lack of privacy, environmental distractions, incompatible equipment, or other issues outside its reasonable control.
9. Recordings and Materials
Recordings, scripts, worksheets, written materials, and other resources supplied by the Clinic are for the individual recipient’s personal use only, unless the Clinic gives prior written permission.
They must not be copied, shared, sold, distributed, republished, altered, uploaded publicly, used to provide services to another person, or used commercially.
Recordings must not be used while driving, operating machinery, or performing an activity requiring alertness. They are not substitutes for regulated healthcare, crisis support, or emergency care.
10. Hypnosis Gift Vouchers
Hypnosis Gift Vouchers are monetary-value digital vouchers governed by the Clinic’s Hypnosis Gift Voucher Policy & Terms.
Purchasing, receiving, transferring, holding, or presenting a voucher does not book an appointment, create a professional relationship, guarantee suitability or acceptance, or guarantee a particular service, date, format, practitioner, result, or outcome.
11. Website and Promotional Content
Website content and promotional materials are provided for general informational and marketing purposes. Although the Clinic makes reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, it does not guarantee that all content is complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for a particular person.
Website content must not be relied upon as medical, psychological, psychotherapeutic, psychiatric, legal, financial, tax, accounting, crisis, or emergency advice.
12. Third-Party Platforms and Services
The Clinic may use third-party booking systems, payment processors, email providers, video-conferencing services, website platforms, maps, social media, analytics tools, and other technology providers.
Third-party platforms are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. The Clinic is not responsible for their content, availability, security, technical operation, or practices, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
13. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Clinic’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Purchasers should not provide a recipient’s sensitive medical, psychological, psychiatric, or health information when ordering a Gift Voucher. Purchasing a voucher does not authorize the Clinic to disclose confidential information about the recipient.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Clinic and its owner, practitioners, employees, contractors, and representatives are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of the website, reliance on website information, participation in services, use of recordings or materials, third-party platforms, technical issues, outcomes differing from expectations, or unauthorized sharing or use of a digital voucher.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability, consumer rights, or legal remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
15. Right to Refuse, Postpone or Discontinue Services
The Clinic may refuse, postpone, pause, reschedule, or discontinue a consultation or service when it reasonably believes the service is outside scope, unsuitable, unsafe, unsupported by sufficient information or valid consent, unpaid, or inconsistent with legal, ethical, professional, safety, or business responsibilities.
The Clinic may also act where a person behaves in an abusive, discriminatory, threatening, inappropriate, or unsafe manner.
16. Relationship with Other Clinic Policies
This Disclaimer should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy, Hypnosis Gift Voucher Policy & Terms, and applicable intake and informed-consent documents.
The more specific policy governs the subject it addresses. Nothing in any Clinic document overrides a right or obligation that cannot legally be waived.
17. Changes to This Disclaimer
The Clinic may update this Disclaimer to reflect changes in services, business practices, technology, policies, or legal requirements. The revised version will be posted with an updated revision date.
An update will not retroactively remove or reduce a right that cannot legally be waived.
